Technical Due Diligence Investigations

Due diligence is a common, very broad legal term that refers to the performance of an appropriate level of study, by knowledgeable individuals, to identify and assess significant factors affecting the future operation of a plant, building, etc., i.e.;  the study is performed to specifically identify the propensity for future problems.  This investigation is conducted prior to purchase.

Corrosion Resolutions conducts thorough technical due diligence investigations when potential corrosion concerns require determination of present system condition (baselining), evaluation of the extent/cause(s) of present damage - if any, projection of future significant corrosion impact, and development of recommended corrective action(s) to achieve an acceptable amount of life extension, if required.  Our investigations are supported by cost-benefit analyses.

Our corrosion consulting activities provide specialized services in technical due diligence for evaluating the safety, reliability, and efficiency of HVAC and other systems or components.  Our work includes assessments of the current component/system condition and their projected remaining operating life.  Citations of life extension strategies are also furnished, if required.  Many, but not all, of the technologies we use are described elsewhere in this website.

This technical due diligence effort is primarily directed toward power plant/commercial building HVAC systems, but our workscope can be modified to accommodate many other applications.

All forms of corrosive damage, including microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC), are addressed.
